At one point she was a railroad engineering clerk – but today, Annie Lee is a world renowned artist with some of the most recognizable prints. Her ‘trademark’ includes painting her characters with no faces. Her website says:
Annie Lee prefers to bring her paintings to life through the movement and body language of the characters. Annie does not want faces to interfere with the story she is painting through the body language of her characters.By painting without faces, Annie allows her customers to project themselves or people that they know into the painting
Her most popular print is likely “Blue Monday”, which was actually a self-portrait which depicts the Monday morning struggle that many working people experience.
She’s also done a great piece that features the First Family, titled “The Oval Office” (it’s available in both a print form and as a figurine). You can find that on this site
