Today marks a day of remembrance and celebration as millions around the world honor the legacy of the iconic freedom fighter, Nelson Mandela. Tens of thousands made their way to South Africa to be in attendance at the memorial service of the former S.A. President. President Obama along with a few other members of the US Delegation arrived late. There were reports of (understandably) heavy traffic as well as security precautions. Whatever the reason – when the President and First Lady did arrive, they crowd erupted with cheers as they appeared on the jumbotron. President Obama was just one of several foreign dignitaries to speak – many are calling this speech his best since his famous “race” speech during his 2008 campaign.
